Men wear longyi and women wear htamain as a traditional proud dress in Myanmar. Most of the locals in Yangon are wearing longyi and htamain when they go to pray pagoda. So wearing tight and shorts are not allowed in the Shwedagon pagoda area.

Bagan is one of the ancient capitals in Myanmar and over 2000 temples in the heritage site. Bagan is situated along the Ayeyawaddy riverside (the longest river in Myanmar), so you can feel the beauty of Ayeyawaddy. Inle Lake

Inle lake is one of the world most beautiful natural lakes in Shan state. You can see the people who are rowing their boats with legs and amazing water floating houses. Visiting Inthar villages, floating gardens, floating pagodas with a long tail boat. The souvenirs such as Blouses made of lotus, silk, sliver products are famous.

 

Golden Rock (Kyaik Htee Yoe Pagoda)

You must cross the 33 mountains to reach the pagoda and it is located in Kyaikhto city, Mon State. Hiking to golden rock may take 4-5 hours from the Kimpun base through beautiful streams, villages, local street vendors and some shops to rest to the way up to pagodas. Traveling with the truck will only take about 45 minutes to pagodas and be ready for your camera to take some shots. Many hotels and restaurants are available and can taste the Myanmar traditional food. If it’s too expensive to sleep overnight in the pagoda, there are some nice B&B and hotels in Kyaikhto city.

Hpa An

The National Landmark of Hpa an is Phar si and Zwekabain Mountain. Hpa An is the capital of Kayin state and has many beautiful and architectural caves in the state. Eating strange weird local soup called “Sate Chee Karr” with Myanmar beer like the strange taste and smelly, interesting. Thanaka

Thanaka derived from Thanaka plants which can be only found in the tropical region of Myanmar. Myanmar people make Thanaka cream by abrading the Thanaka branch on the flat stone. Thanaka is the traditional type of makeup in Myanmar, with the sweet scent of nature. People use Thanaka to cool and protect skin from the hot sun. Thanaka is the natural makeup for Myanmar people, it gives many advantages.  You will find interesting when looking at the girl with the bunny and Thanaka on the cheek. Golden land people use Golden Thanaka to obtain golden skin.
