Visiting four tooth relic pagodas
The world’s famous archaeological zone, ‘Old Bagan’ is located in Mandalay division. The region introduced the Buddhist to Myanmar people. I’d like to share about the four famous relics pagodas in Bagan. These pagodas were built by King Anawyahtar after enshrining the Buddha’s Tooth Relic. Buddhist people believe that the desires are full when you pray to these pagodas in one day before noon.
Shwezigon Pagoda
You must visit Shwezigon which is one of the famous temples of four relic Pagodas. It is situated at the southwest of the Nyaung U region. Usually, the Shwezigon Pagoda festival takes place in the month of November.
Lawka Nandar Pagoda
The Lawka Nandar Pagoda is located in near the Irrawaddy river bank. Even it has water erosion, mysteriously, the pagoda still remains as original. It includes one of the famous in four relics Pagodas.
Tant Kyi Taung Temple
The Tant Kyi Taung which is included in four relics pagodas, located in Pakkou Township of Magway division. On the way to Tant Kyi Taung Pagoda is a bit difficult. First, you need to take a cruise to cross the river and then climb the mountain with the car. But, you will have a chance to experience the scenic view of the Irrawaddy River and the famous Tant Kyi Taung.
Tuyin Taung Pagoda
You might already know the Tuyin Taung from the many historical books. You will see that the temple has 32 elephant picture. It was a historical place that King Alaung Si Thu proved his martial prowess and courage by saying I am not old enough.
But, remember to fill your desires, you must visit these four pagodas before 12 pm and pray only one wish.
